With this project I wanted to step away from the straight lines by making the chair elegant and asymmetrical. The chair is made with a mortise and tenon joint, except from the  hindlegs; these are connected by using lamellos. There was no use of screws to show the pureness  of the material.

The design was the biggest 
challenge for me because there already exist so many chairs and the combinations are endless. These sketches represent the evolution of design in the end. The design also changed through the process of making the chair. Therefore the last sketch doesn’t accord with the design of the chair.
